Front Mission:
In Japanese! If you do not understand
Japanese, you can try this game, it is rather easy to
understand even if if sometimes it is more difficult. You play a robot and the
aim is to destroy the ennemies. An action game by Squaresoft which as always leaves its print in the music,
graphics and the scenario. It is not a RPG like the others because it is rather of a futuristic kind but it is not worth either Bahamut
Lagoon.
For: a different RPG. A good
music.
Against: you are very
quicly bored! Squaresoft was not the
only editor as in Breath of Fire!
Illusion of Time (FR) -
Illusion of Gaia (US): Don't you find these
two posters are similar? Normal, it's the same game! Illusion of Time
(Gaia if you live in America) has the same style as Zelda with
the same mode of fight. A good game which should be liked by Zelda fans.
Live a Live:
excellent game in which you choose between different characters: cowboy,
robot, monk, ninja, mecha (as in AI for those which saw this splendid
movie), a cave man or a fighter. Then and as its name indicates it, you will
carry out the life of the character of your choice. An exceptional game
translated from Japanese and that really changes. The music is
very nice and brings the player in the ambience of the scenario.
Lufia & The
Fortress of Doom: First episode of a series which
has two. Published by TAITO, this RPG is really brilliant. We were not used
to see RPG edited by TAITO which is used to edit arcade
games as
Buble & Boble but RPG fans will be filled by this technical
prowess!
For: a good RPG. The beginning is rather
original.
